About

Hello, I am Susan Lippe.

I’m studying Hebrew Bible at Brite Divinity School. Before my career switch, I worked as a rabbi-educator at two synagogues, for six years in California and for seven years in Texas. Now I mostly read biblical scholarship, and I’m learning to write.

I volunteer with Sisterhood of Salaam/Shalom here in Austin, Texas. Sometimes, I also take photographs, cook foods, and crochet gifts. I am incredibly grateful for the friends who are sticking with me during all this homework.

If you are looking for someone to study sacred texts with, please let me know. I love talking about Hebrew Bible, Quran, and New Testament with people who want to wrestle with meaning and who are comfortable with questions and curiosity.

Thank you for reading, and thank you for your feedback!
